At WHY tap, the health of our interns and staff has always been our priority. In executing our continued company thrust of maintaining a healthy and productive work environment, we recently organized a Free Eye Check-Up Camp in the company to raise awareness on the proper care of our eyes and to provide our workers with a comprehensive vision check.
An Initiative Towards Improving Human Vision
The eye check-up camp was organized for all the interns and staff with an objective to avail professional eye check-up at a free of cost. Through this campaign, people not only became more informed about most prevalent diseases of the eyes but also learned what measures should be taken if such sicknesses are detected.
The camp was conducted by a team of skilled professionals who offered a range of services:
Auto Refraction: A computerized method to evaluate the refractive power of the particular eye of each participant and estimated vision loss if any.
Colour Vision Test: In order to eliminate color vision deficiencies, the Ishihara color vision chart was used with the participants.
Subjective Refraction: Skilled optometrists undertook comprehensive examination in search of such conditions as refractoryerrors, cataracts, and squints.
Personalized Counseling: Each participant was given advice about their eye health and suggestions for changing behaviour patterns in order to improve the health of their eyes and lessen the potential for developing eye problems.
Special Benefits for Participants
To ensure the impact of this camp extends beyond the day of the event, WHY tap provided additional benefits to all participants:
Free Consultation Coupons: It also meant that up to four friends or family members could utilise free consultation.
Discounts on Eye Care:
- 10% off on spectacles.
- Ten per cent reduction on the higher investigation rates.
- For cash-paid surgery, the price to be offered is $10,000 with a 10% discount.
(Note: Pharmacy and TPA/insurance surgery were eliminated from discounts.)

Care and Connection Collected in a Day
As with several other events the eye check-up camp was not only geared towards health – it was a way for the team members to come together and work in unison. Many interns and staff personally contributed ideas and feedback; there was much positivity and understanding of the sincere consideration.
Building a Healthier Workplace
This camp was another notable progress in the activities of WHY tap in the development of an organizational culture for healthy workplaces. One should note that with such measures we truly aim at making every member of our team feel wanted and appreciated not only professionally but also psychologically.
More updates are on the way and we keep on working on such events for our team!
